Sort of. On a couple of counts... 1. In the morning it was really overcast and foggy, but later in the afternoon the sun would come out and shine. 2. When it's overcast, you can still get sunburned!
And so we all did.
We also spent a little time at Sea World. (Which I just saw this morning that my brother's family did as well.) We got to touch sea stars, sea urchins, and rays. We saw dolphins, whales, and all sorts of marine life.
We watched a few shows including Blue Horizons, but the day we were there the Shamu show got cancelled. We still got a good look at one of the orcas in the viewing area. Sadly, we later learned that the one of the whales had died.

Ooo, Ooo, can we come?! Pretty please? hehe..
Such a fun trip!!! Great pics!
How fun!!! Does your reimbursement ticket work in San Antonio Sea World as well??? =) j/k (but we really do wish it!) Looks like you all had a blast at the beach. Wish we could've come! Miss you and love you all!
me, me, we're going again!
hey saskia.
when are you planning your trip? it was a lot of fun and a perfect slow pace for our family.
I think my kids would LOVE Sea World (and I think it might be one place that Todd would be ok with--despite the number of people that would be there). Your beach pics are so cute! It was cute to hear Asher talk about San Diego in Nursery! :)
misti.
sea world didn't feel crowded at all. gene agrees with me. maybe it's the time of year, but there didn't seem to be a whole ton of people. it was really nice. and they have have changing/nursing stations next to some of there bathrooms. that was very helpful.
Let's start planning right now! You are our kind of people.
If I could be one place I think it would be at the beach. I love the sounds and smells as much as the sights. And I can't forget the feel of sand between my toes. So, if you are inviting we would love to join you.
Looks like you had a fabulous trip! We still need to put that in our to-do list!
